Deskree Technologies Inc. ("Deskree", "we", "us", "our") respects your privacy.

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use and share your information when you use our website, mobile applications and other services offered by us (collectively the “Platform”).  This Privacy Policy also explains how we use cookies and similar technologies.  By using the Platform you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy.

We may change our Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes to our Privacy Policy, we will notify you by posting the updated Privacy Policy and revising the “Last Updated” date above.  If we believe the change is material we will also notify you by email or through the Platform,  We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy frequently to stay informed about our privacy practices.  By continuing to use the Platform after the changes are made, you agree to be bound by the revised Privacy Policy.  

Capitalized terms not defined in this Privacy Policy have the meaning given to the terms in our Terms of Service, as amended from time to time, accessible from https://deskree.com/legal/terms.

What information do we collect?

We collect the following types of information:

Personal Information. Personal information is information about an identifiable individual.  We collect personal information when you voluntarily provide it to us through our Platform or through other means.  For example, we may collect personal information such as your name, address, email address and telephone number when you create an account, subscribe for a subscription plan, communicate with us or otherwise submit personal information to us with your communication.

Payment Information. When you subscribe to a subscription plan on the Platform, our third-party service provider collects personal information such as your name, address, email address and credit card details.  Our current third-party service provider for processing payments is Stripe, Inc. (“Stripe”).  We do not store your full credit card number on the Platform, but may store identifying information, such as the last 4 digits of your credit card number, and other billing information.

Technical Information. We, or our third-party service providers such as Google Analytics, HotJar, Intercom and MixPanel, collect technical information when you use or interact with the Platform including your IP address, browser type, device and system information, unique identifier, the web page you visited before accessing the Platform, date and time stamps, crash reports, system activity, interactions and other similar information and interactions with the Platform.

Project Information. We also collect other personal information to the extent that your Project collects such information from your API Consumers and stores it on our Platform. By choosing what information you will be collecting from your API Users on your Project, you control the extent to which we collect such information from you and your API Consumers.

Cookies and other Technological Means

A “cookie” is a piece of data stored on the computer hard drive or memory containing information about the user. We use “cookies” and other technologies for authentication, analytics, performance, functional and marketing purposes. As described above, we also use third-party service providers to collect Technical Information. These third-party service providers use cookies or other technologies.

You may modify your browser’s settings so that your browser stops accepting cookies or prompts you before accepting a cookie. If you do not accept cookies, you may still use the Platform, but certain areas or features may not function properly.

We may also use small pixel files (small images) or other technologies to track whether certain types of e-mails were opened by you and whether you sought information about a particular service in order to make inferences about other products and services you might be interested in.

Interest-Based Advertising / Remarketing

We or our third-party advertising providers may use cookies and small pixel files to show you advertisements from us which are more relevant to you and your interests. Some of these advertisements may be customized to particular products and services that you viewed or they may be based on inferences about products and services that you might be interested in. This is called "interest-based advertising".

You can opt out of these interest-based advertising campaigns by turning off cookies in your browser, as described above. If you opt-out of interest-based advertising you may still see advertisements from us on other websites. However, they will not be customized based on your browsing history on our Platform.

How do we use your information?

We use your information to provide products and services and to manage our business operations.  For example, we may use your personal information for the following purposes:

  • to register your account
  • to authenticate you when you log into your account;
  • to provide, administer and improve our Platform;
  • to fulfill your requests for products and services;
  • to communicate with you about your requests;
  • to administer our provision of, and your payment for, products or services you request from us;
  • to personalize and improve your experience;
  • to protect the security or integrity of our Platform and our business; and
  • to provide or offer updates, promotions and announcements.

We retain your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we collected the information, as required by law and to enforce our agreements. Please note that there might be some latency in deleting this information from the Google Cloud Storage Platform.

How do we share your information?

We may share your information as follows:
With our third-party service providers who help us with our business operations. For example, we share information with service providers who provide us with development, storage, marketing, analytics, payment processing and promotional services. However, we only share information to the extent necessary for us to receive the services.
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, we may transfer your personal information as part of that transaction.
We may share information about you if necessary for us to collect a debt from you or as permitted or required by law, for example with regulators and law enforcement agencies.

How do we change your information?

You may review and change personal information which you provided to us by logging into your account and modifying the personal information stored in connection with your account. If you do not have an account or for other questions about our privacy practices, you may contact us using the email address below.

Additional Information

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, including social networks. These links are provided for your convenience.  We have no control over and are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other websites. We encourage you to be aware when you leave our Platform and to read the privacy statements of each and every website that collects personal information. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by this Platform.

Your personal information may be stored by us or our service providers outside of Canada.  If your personal information is used or stored outside of Canada, it will also be subject to the laws of the country in which it is used or stored.

We follow generally accepted standards to protect your personal information. However, no method of electronic transmission or Platform is 100% secure.  Therefore, we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, hacking, data loss or breaches of our security systems will never occur. Accordingly, you should not transmit personal information to us using our Platform if you consider that information to be sensitive.

Additional Rights in Certain Jurisdictions

If you are a resident of certain jurisdictions, including California, the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information. If we determine that we are required to provide you with any such additional rights you may exercise such rights by contacting us through the email address below.

Additional Protections for Minors

The Platform is not directed at individuals under the age of 13 years and we do not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from these individuals.  If you become aware that a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the email address below and we will take steps to delete such information.
